How to Get Started

🛼 New to Derby? Join Our New Skater Program!

No experience? No problem! Our Rising Phoenix Program is designed to teach you the basics of roller skating, derby rules, and strategy in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll learn:
✅ Skating fundamentals
✅ Derby stance and agility
✅ Blocking and gameplay strategy
✅ Rules, safety, and teamwork

We provide a welcoming space for skaters of all skill levels to learn, grow, and have fun!

Already have skating experience? We have multiple levels of competition:
🔥 All-Star Travel Team – Represent NTRD in high-level regional and national competition.
🏠 Home Teams – Compete in fun, local matchups and develop your skills with a close-knit team.

Not a Skater? You Can Still Join!

🏁 Skating and Non-Skating Officials – Help keep the game fair and fast-paced—no skating experience required!
🤝 Volunteers – Be part of the action by assisting with events, merch, and game-day logistics.
