Beginning with the 2024 Home Team Season, NTRD is returning to some of our original home teams. We are excited to celebrate the past as we soar into the future.

Retired Teams
North Texas Roller Derby proudly honors our retired Home Teams.
With the return to competitive play, post-COVID, in 2023, North Texas Roller Derby took the opportunity to make a fresh start with all new Home Teams. These teams were supported by local Denton bars. The return of home teams gave us the opportunity to have guest skaters, including skaters from Texoma Roller Derby. Each team fought hard but in the end, Dan’s Destroyers went undefeated.
Re-Established Home Teams
North Texas Roller Derby Home Teams were re-established in 2019. North Texas Roller Derby offered a unique Home Team partnership with rival league Rockin’ City Rollergirls, which provided a higher level of competition beyond traditional home team structures. NTRD home teams included the Howling Banshees, Raging Furies, and NTRD’s Home Team Rival, Charging Valkyries, represented by Rockin’ City Rollergirls. The Raging Furies were on a winning streak when the season was cut short by COVID.
North Texas Roller Derby Original Home Teams were first established in 2012 in the House of Quad. This era of Home Teams came to an end in 2016.
